Ramadan Mubarak
TaqabbalaLlahu minna wa minkum.✨
As-salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.
For someone who has spent the past two weeks trying to be intentional with my daily Ramadan countdown and who has been reminding people to buy food and stock up their kitchens for Ramadan, this hunger currently clawing at my insides and the fact that I'll probably eat nonsense Nasco cornflakes for sahur tomorrow (because I still don't have gas) and then spend the entire day like a wilted flower is enough to show that my husband, who has decided to spend another Ramadan eating his mother's food, is a very smart man.
But that's by the way.
The point of this letter is, Ramadan Mubarak! TaqabbalaLlahu minna wa minkum.
No long story, just remember that this Ramadan has met you as you are now.
Don't feel bad because your Ramadan goals are not as much as that of your friends or your plans are not as elaborate or because you're not where you wanted to be for Ramadan or because…whatever.
This is your Ramadan, your once in a year chance at doing whatever you want with your relationship with Allah and on a very HIGH note. I mean, your rewards are multiplied for everything and it's not even by the power of 2. Think about it.
This is your Ramadan. It's about only you and your Allah, a very personal thing.
Accept it, welcome it and begin this one-month journey of healing, reconnection, growth and worship as you are with your gaze fixed on exactly where you want to be when the month is over and with complete faith and trust and submission to Allah.
Even when your circumstances are not perfect and everything is not as you want it to be…claim your Ramadan! May Allah make it easy for you and for me.
May Allah guide you to make the intentions for goodness and worship in this month and strengthen you to work towards them.
May Allah grant you the connection you seek and make this month one of healing and guidance for you.
May Allah answer your prayers, deeds and worship in this month.
May Allah have mercy on you and grant you ease in this month and beyond.
May this Ramadan leave you better than it has met you. May this be your best Ramadan yet.
With all my love and plenty of Du'a, Rali.
PS. If you've not made Du'a for the new moon, here you go. As-salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.
Allahuma ahillahu ‛alaynaa bil-amni wal-eemaani, was-salaamati wal-islaami, wat-tawfeeqi limaa tuḥibbu watarḍaa, rabunaa wa rabbuk-allaahu.
O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in peace and faith, safety and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.

Aameen ❤️.
